The Sub Camp team for Rivers Sub Camp would like to welcome you to Poacher 2008 and in particular to your sub camp which will be home for a week later in the year.
The team is headed by Mike Elsom and Viv Bradley. Those with long memories will hopefully remember us from the same corner of the showground, with Victorians, Red Dwarf and Westerns sub camps, so it is a welcome back to you and a warm welcome to those we will be meeting for the first time.
It is the Sub camp teams wish that from the youngest to the oldest, you will enjoy the week and to supplement the daily activities we will be providing evening activities for Scouts/Guides and Leaders. A brief outline of the activities to be enjoyed are,
Sunday Cheese and wine – Leaders only
Monday Boat race, boats will be constructed, at Poacher, from materials provided.
Tuesday Pan Bash - enough noise to wake the Camp Chief `s from their snooze
Wednesday Pooh sticks
Thursday Inter Troop/Company challenges, on a theme. More details nearer the date.
Friday Closing Ceremony
