Things you can do in your units in
preparation for Poacher 2008 and the Pole 2 Pole Sub Camp.
There are a few things we need
from you to help you feel part of our sub camp.
• Each Scout or Guide to bring a decorated fish cut out of paper with their
name and group on it
and with a metal paper clip attached. The fish should be no bigger than A5. This
is
for a friendship activity in the marquee.

• Each group is to bring either a polar bear or a penguin, made out of anything
you want,
but measuring no bigger than 60cm tall or wide. Please indicate on it somehow
which
group it is from.
Don't forget to bring your mini Ski Jumper for
our Pole 2 Pole Ski Jump!

Here is a picture of the ski jump to give you an
idea of what you need!

---Keep checking back---
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each day at Poacher Chris (C) will
be looking for articles from members of the Sub Camp for the media team to put
in the Poacher Paper. So if you have a story or are a bit of a poet then
please get your polar woolly thinking caps on... Chris will also be
accepting pictures at Sub Camp HQ from your digital cameras.

We are building Perri's own music
playlist. Anything that is Polar / Arctic related, so for instance:
Anything by the Arctic Monkeys
"cold as ice" by Foreigner
"Perpetuum Mobile" by The Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Anything by Snow Patrol
And so on...
As we get ideas for good tunes we
will build Perri's playlist here!
